16th Century Italian Maiolica Faience Dish with a Young Man Portrait

Mid-16th Century Italian Maiolica Dish hand-painted in blue and ocher yellow color with a profile young man portrait in the center. The maiolica color decoration of yellowish and blue are painted in a elegant alternating geometric motifs on the edge of plate with outstanding decorative atmospheric appeal. This 1500s Italian maiolica artwork is in good age related condition with minimal chips on the rim. This 16th-century polychrome majolica dish comes from a private collection, Central Italian manufacture from the mid-1500s. Height: 5 cm Diameter: 23 cm This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago requires a governative license for export called Belle Arti.
