Austrian Gilt Metal and Enamel Dutch Windmill Jewelry Music Box
About the Item
This windmill music box depicts different hand painted enamel panels of romantic courting couples in a medieval pastoral landscape. The windmill blades are adorned with shamrock prongs and show a gentleman playing the mandolin and a lady holding a basket. The music box stands in a gilt hexagonal base and is guarded by a gold tone beaded chain. Music is played after the windmill blades turn. The top dome comes out to keep jewelry or small treasures.
