Japanese Contemporary Red Green Platinum Porcelain Vase by Master Artist Duo, 3

About the Item

Extraordinary Unique Japanese contemporary museum quality gilded decorative porcelain box, painstakingly intricately hand painted in vibrant red, blue and green on a stunningly shaped body, a signed masterpiece, a collaboration by two brothers, second-generation master porcelain artists of the Imari-Arita region of Japan, highly acclaimed for their painstakingly detailed portrayal of historical scenes and themes combined with intricate geometric patterns and this stunning piece is a testimony to their mastery in both styles. The artists faithfully depict in great detail deer in white set against a breathtakingly detailed and intricate scrolling floral background with generous high purity gold details throughout. The inside of the box boasts a stunning geometric pattern in platinum, gold and red and the inside of the top showcases the same pattern as the body of the box in the center on a white background. The older brother exhibits excellence in both underglaze and polychrome overglaze techniques in this breathtaking piece. The rim and base are decorated with the younger brother's signature intricate patterns to add another layer of elegance to this memorable piece. He comes second to none in the creation of extremely complicated geometric patterns made possible through the application of the most sophisticated and demanding techniques of miniature painting to the complex and curved surfaces of porcelain pieces. This stunning hand painted porcelain box comes in a custom made wooden case signed by both artists. Dimensions: H 7 in H 4.5 in.
