Pair of Italian Ebonized and Giltwood Maiden Five Arm Candelabras
About the Item
A unique and very decorative pair of Italian 19th century Neo-Classical st. ebonized Fruitwood, giltwood, and gilt metal candelabras. Each five arm candelabra is raised by a stepped square base where the beautiful Egyptian maidens are standing. Each elegant maiden is draped in a fine flowing garment with giltwood accents and is holding a richly carved swaging floral garland in their hand. They wear finely detailed woven baskets of blooming flowers on their heads from where the whimsically scrolled arms branch out leading to lovely pressed metal floral candle cups. All original gilt and patina throughout.
