Pair of Rock Crystal, Lead Crystal and Brass Candelabra, Late 19th Century
About the Item
Pair of rock crystal, lead crystal and brass candelabra, late 19th century. This pair of candelabras have a series of large rock crystal beads supporting their stems topped by a pineapple shaped brass finial. From each graduating branch hang crystal rosettes and tear shaped drops. The bases have beaded trim and crystal drops hanging from each of the bobeche. A romantic pair to add sparkle to any evening.
The French loved to add crystals to their chandeliers and candelabras to help illuminate a room with refracted candle light.
