Pair of Regency Gilt and Patinated Bronze Ostrich Candlesticks, circa 1815

About the Item

A pair of early 19th century Regency period gilt and patinated bronze candlesticks. Each has floral sprays with crystal lustres supported on gilt Ostrich shaped stems standing on circular bases. Because of the crystal drops these reflect light when a candle is burning. A rare form and beautifully executed. N.P. Trent has been a respected name in antiques for over 30 years with a large collection of period furniture, art and decorative accessories.
