Wonderful and fun pair of counterweight candlesticks by famous artist Carl Deffner from Esslingen in Germany. Execution early 20th century, most probably 1920s. Heavy and high quality execution. Good size, a stylish addition to any interior and on every table or desk. Great jugendstil / art nouveau / Bauhaus influenced zoomorphic design which is both very elegant and fun at the same time. Wonderful condition with a nice patina.
