French Large Size Mid-19th Century Zinc Clock Trade Sign on Custom Stand

About the Item

This French large size clock trade sign from the mid-19th century depicts an oversized pocket watch with round bow at the top. Made of zinc, this grey colored clock face is decorated with Roman numerals with the hands marking 8:17, possibly a date of importance. A smaller subsidiary dial dedicated to seconds sits in the lower half of the main dial. Placed on a newly custom made rectangular metal stand, this French trade sign circa 1870, which once upon a time adorned the entrance of a clockmaker’s shop, would now decorate any home beautifully.
