French Art Nouveau Clock Set 'Poésie' 'Ch Ruchot' by Japy Freres

About the Item

An antique French bronzed spelter clock set with its pair of matching gilt candelabra / garniture. The finely cast figurine of a lady holding a manuscript is entitled Poésie and is signed by the maker Jean Charles Ruchot working in the Art Nouveau period. The white ceramic dial has Arabic numerals with a pretty central decorative design all encased in a pretty variegated pink marble adorned with gilt metalwork. A lovely original piece in working order chiming on the hour and half past the hour. Supplied with key. Please note that this antique clock may require setting once placed in its new environment. Our clocks are shipped with the pendulum removed for transit purposes and would require re-hanging post shipping. We can advise you on how to do this. Movement is by P. Japy (Japy Freres).
