Georgian Small Ebonised Bracket Clock, Haley & Milner, London Georgian small bracket clock housed in a break arch ebonised case with brass banding to the door, moulded stepped plinth resting on four brass ball feet, brass silk lined sound frets to the sides and glazed rear door, surmounted by a decorative brass carrying handle. Silvered dial with Roman numerals, original ‘blued’ steel hands and strike/ silent dial to the arch, the dial signed Haley & Milner, London. Substantial high quality eight day double fusee movement with anchor escapement and pull repeat facility, striking the hours on a top mounted silvered bell. Beautiful border engraving to the backplate with conforming brackets and pendulum holdfast. Original brass bob pendulum, the backplate also signed Haley & Milner, London. C.1805 Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World by Brian Loomes lists Haley & Milner as working in Wigmore Street, London from 1799-1815.
