Wales Mahogany Grandfather Clock
About the Item
It has been fully restored the case and the mechanism,it's in working condition order, but i won't sell it as working, because some times when you ship a clock it can disturb the movement.
The clock is attributed to William A Davies, this was actually in Wales not England a place call cardigan, which has all the original paintwork on the face with his name and place. To the top there is rocking ship that goes back and forward with the ticking of the time. The clock stike's loudly on the hour annoncing the time through the house,we have the original pendulum, key and weights. It's a impressive large grandfather clock and in very good condition, there is a small crack to the bottom panel, which really is the only thing i would say bad about the clock.

- Rosewood Grandfather ClockLocated in New Orleans, LAThis magnificent English longcase, or grandfather, clock boasts a fine rosewood case inlaid with an intricate, balanced design. The face is crafted of chased silver in a foliate motif with fully hallmarked numerals by London silversmith James Stedstone Gouldsmith. The clock is a three-train movement run by three silver-plated weights and a mercury pendulum. The three weights power the time, the hour chime and the quarter-hour chime, and the clock strikes on nine tubular bells with a choice of either Whittington or Westminster chimes. Known commonly as “grandfather” clocks, it was not until the late 19th century that longcase clocks garnered this name.
