About the Item
Museum's piece: mechanical clock for 3-cushions billiard. Its is made from oak that has patinated beautiful over the last 100 years. This is how is works. When you remove the 3 billiard balls from their designated key-locked compartment the time sets of. Once you slide the 3 balls back in the time stops. It also features a regular mechanical clock and everything works as it should. Its complete with balls, two winding keys and a key for the ball-compartment. This particular example hung at a pastry and billiard store in Grenaa, Denmark during the 1920s called Lassen's 'Konditori og Billard'. Files/archives available on-line (in Danish). Measurements: H: 32 cm, W: 29 cm, Dept: 10 cm.
