19th Century Inkwell with Imperial Eagle in Portoro Marble and Gilt Bronze

About the Item

We would like to present you with this magnificent 19th-century Empire-style inkwell from the Napoleon III era adorned with a raised imperial eagle motif positioned between the two inkwells held in gilt bronze holders. The Portoro marble, one of the rarest in the world, is carved to accommodate pens, resting atop a base adorned with four gilded bronze claw feet and an ornamental frieze on the front. Highly decorative, this accessory promises to enhance the sophistication of any exquisite desk. Please note that this piece is missing its original two small glass containers within the inkwells.
