A fine and antique onyx and bronze desk set featuring a sculpture of Rodin's Thinker done by Hungarian sculptor Andor Ruff. From the AskArt website, "Andor Ruff was born in 1885, in Taksony, Hungary. Ruff studied in Budapest and Brussels. After that, he lived and worked as a sculptor, landscape painter, and draftsman in Budapest. Andor Ruff passed away in 1951." The oval shaped, double, bronze mounted inkwell features the sculpture as well as a pen rest or vide poche. In addition to the inkwell, the set also includes an onyx and bronze blotter and an onyx and bronze box in the style of a book. The 'pages' are in bronze in a deckled style, the spine, also in bronze, features a 'leather' styling and the 'hard cover' of the book features a monogram in bronze.
