END OF THE 19th CENTURY GOLDEN BRONZE FRAME WITH SMALL PAINTING
About the Item
Splendid frame in lost wax cast and gilded bronze, dating back to the period in which Florence was the capital (second half of the 19th century). The decoration of the frame is of great beauty, with plant racemes, anthropomorphic figures, cornucopias and finely crafted eagles. The anthropomorphic legs on the front and the two-legged support on the back give it refined elegance and stability. Inside the frame there is a fascinating painting on an oil panel depicting a Tuscan landscape, created in a style that recalls the Macchiaioli school. Two characters move along a dirt path, surrounded by houses and trees, creating an evocative atmosphere. This picture frame is able to enrich any environment in which it is placed with taste and refinement.
