English 19th Century Cast Brass Dog Doorstop with Weighted Brass Base

About the Item

English 19th century cast brass sitting dog doorstop with vine handle and lead weighted brass base. This crisply cast dog doorstop is exceptionally easy to move with its brass leaf and vine handle. The serpentine cast brass base is filled with lead to make it very stable and heavy enough to hold a large door open or closed, circa 1870.
