Italian Carrera Marble Bust of Flora
About the Item
A very fine Italian Carrera marble sculpture of Flora. A beautiful young girl looking to dexter, she has her hair braided. Flora was the Roman goddess of the flowering of plants and flowers, the personification of the spring season. Superbly carved white statuary Carrera marble. Extremely heavy and sense marble with superb finish. Excellent detail, the hair is quite outstanding, as are the flowers which adorn her.
