Antique Carrera Marble of a Dancing Putti playing Cymbals after Clodion

About the Item

A fine and good size Carrara marble sculpture of a dancing putti, playing cymbals, after a design by Clodion. A finely carved piece, set upon a red griotte marble base, with a ring of gilt bronze beading. Very good quality, excellent detail to the face. The putti represents a dancing bacchante at a Revel. A repair to the top most cymbal.
