Royal Worcester Art Deco Joan Figurine by Freda G Doughty

About the Item

A delightful and scarce Royal Worcester porcelain figurine entitled Joan modelled by Freda G Doughty and dated 1935. The very young child figure stands raised on a half-moon shaped base and wears a small short dress. The figure is well detailed and hand painted in tones of blue and naturalistic skin colors with painted features and is highlighted with gilding. The base is painted with a green hue with gilding around the edge. The figure has a puce printed makers mark to the base and is numbered 2915. It also has date marks for 1935 and is also marked ‘Joan’ Modelled by F G Doughty’. In good original condition.
