Unusual Unique Abstract Crucifix Sculpture Formed from 15th Century Nails
About the Item
An unusual and unique hand crafted English abstract sculptural crucifix made from 15th century hand wrought iron nails recovered during the restoration of an ancient East Anglian Church Tower and probably dating from the mid 20th Century. The sculpture portrays the figure of Christ with his arms outstretched in the form of a crucifix. The nails have been shaped and welded together to form the body and head and the sculpture is mounted on a wooden base. A very unusual and interesting item.
