Australian artist Colin Burn is a self-confessed provocateur, he likes to incite conversation and challenge accepted traditions and values within society. Hirst’s comment “if it’s in a gallery, it’s art” was truly inspirational for Burn when creating his opulent erotic, dildo sculptures as serious and valuable works of contemporary art. Burn is a believer in original concepts and enjoys the avant-garde, he would rather cut a path and be hit with the branches, than follow in others’ footsteps.
