Large Wooden Ship’s Propeller Blade Foundry Casting Mold on Plinth
About the Item
A large wooden ship’s propeller blade foundry casting mold loosely mounted on a round plinth as a display sculpture, with ebonized mounting base. A great piece for any true nautical collector or marine decor! The casting mold probably dates to the early to mid 20th century is in very good condition, with some edge losses, drilled holes, scratches, and wear commensurate with age and use. Some tar residue can be found on one side. Dimensions: Overall with plinth: 66 in H x 48 in W x 21 in diameter base; Plinth: 15.75 in H x 20 in diameter.
