Pair of Cut Crystal and Bronze Ram's Head Coprnucopias

- Condition:There are some peculiarities to these cornucopias. First, look carefully at the glass vases. While they are the same height and pattern, they are different where they meet the mount, as you can see in the close-up photos. Also, while the white marble bases are the same length, they differ in width by about ¼". All this suggests that shortly after they were made, one of the vases was broken and the marble chipped. A contemporary, but slightly different vase was installed and the chip was polished smooth, reducing the width. Note that the screw holes on the narrower vase (the one on the left) are slightly off center, suggesting it was once wider. RM.
