About the Item
A very rare Danish sculptural stoneware lidded jar with Nordic mythical figures by Bode Willumsen (1895-1989) and made in 1928. The heavily made jar is of triangular shape, the sides constructed as framed panels molded in relief with mythical figures. The jar has a wide triangular top rim with a similarly shaped recess within which sits the cover which is mounted with three sculptural lion like creatures forming the finial.
