Dutch handpainted vase, jar True Love by Royal Delft, Schiffmacher collection

About the Item

This hand-painted vase or jar in original Delft Blue colour is an ode to love, an ode to true love. Henk Schiffmacher, a famous Dutch tattoo artist designed ‘Vase True Love’ with his own true love in his mind. The whole decoration, inspired by centuries-old sailors tattoos, was lovingly hand painted by the master painters at Royal Delft. Vase True Love is a limited edition vase of which just 20 will be made. The entire Schiffmacher Royal Blue Tattoo collection is the result of a close collaboration with Schiffmacher, the master painters, and the design team of Royal Delft. Designs such as those of Vase True Love largely come from Schiffmacher, with a master-painter of Royal Delft adding the finishing touches. A product that the master painter enjoyed designing was the ‘Vaas True Love’. The vase comes with a certificate of authenticity. Royal Delft creates a world of high-quality Delft Blue and inspires with centuries-old craftsmanship and innovation. The Dutch Design brand is world-famous and known for its outstanding quality, iconic objects and stylish decorations. Royal Delft's original hand-painted Delft Blue has been loved since the 17th century. Each hand-painted article produced by Royal Delft has been marked with the mark on the right. It consists of: – A jar – The Initials JT – The City of Delft Below to the left the painter’s initials are painted and on the right a year code. Not dishwasher safe Not microwafe safe
