19th C Large English Porcelain Vase

About the Item

This large decorative vase would be perfect in a niche as it has a dramatic profile but would also look great on a center table since it is fully decorated in the round and looks good from all angles. The bright green glazed body color is further highlighted with an overall floral pattern in rich red on the white unglazed ground color. All the leaves on the body as well as the naturalistically modeled handles and the rococo base are done in a deep cobalt blue making the vase very decorative. To embellish the vase further the added expense of gilding and firing of the burnished gold on top of the glaze colors gives the vase a delicate sense with the play of light across the body and modeled sections
