Francois Theodore Legras Pair of Vases in Enameled Glass Circa 1900

About the Item

This pair of vases is made of glass. They are green in colour with formal motifs in enamel. The flowers remind of hibiscus. They are of an Art Nouveau style. Art Nouveau is an artistic movement characterised by its curves and arabesques. It is freely inspired by nature, be it flowers, animals or insects. He was inspired by the vases made by the ceramist Legras, whose enamelled motifs come from the Montjoye factory in Saint Denis. He worked during the 20th century. This one is not numbered, nor signed by Legras, but it is a perfect replica of the one made by this artist. There are no chips, no cracks, no lack of enamel. Dimension : height : 10,62 Inch diameter : 3,74 Inch.
