French Art Nouveau Enameled Glass Vase by Francois-Theodore Legras

About the Item

A beautiful French enameled glass vase from the Art Nouveau period, circa 1930. Intricately detailed work is by François-Théodore Legras. The tube of this vase is enlarged and has a dark pink background. It is decorated with trees, a bird, plants and other details of nature. About the Artist: François-Théodore Legras is one of the four master glassmakers of Art Nouveau with Gallé, Daum and Lalique. The Legras Verrerie produces a very wide variety of models of various shapes and decorations. He participated in many national and international exhibitions where he is very often rewarded. He was also responsible for the glassware and crystal part of the 1900 Universal Exhibition in Paris.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Very good condition, no cracks or chips. Note small bubbles, traces and a small impurity in the glass, original to the making.
