Grainger Worcester Pair Floral Painted Twin Handled Vases

About the Item

A very fine pair English twin handled porcelain vases painted with flowers by renowned makers Grainger Worcester and dating from the 19th century. The vases of tall cylindrical shape stand on a narrow round unglazed foot with slightly recessed base and both have pinched necks with wide round bowl shaped tops with raised reticulated handles applied to either side. The body of the vases are finely hand painted with floral designs to two sides embellished with gilding. The handles are double sided with a flat ridge rim finely with a patterned finish and finely gilded with similar patterning around the top edge. The vases have printed Grainger Worcester marks and the vases are numbered 1333. Provenance: acquired in the British Art Market. In excellent condition.
