Japanese Bronze Vase Showa period by Nakajima Yasumi II, 1960's

About the Item

Japanese Bronze vase from Showa period made by master Nakajima Yasumi II. Comes with its original signed tomobako (wooden box). Engraved signature at the bottom. Nakajima Yasumi, also known as Yasumi II, learned traditional metal techniques from his family that had been working with a particularly intensely coloured bronze (seido) for three generations in Osaka. He has however perfected his own particular modern style that brought him international fame and respect. His work has been exhibited at the Nitten, as well as the Shin-Bunten and Hoshukuten exhibitions. We have several other very interesting Japanese Bronzes for sale. Visit our storefront.
