Gold luster funk pottery fetish bowl embellished with applied feathers at its rim created by Ken Shores of Oregon, circa 1960s. Bowl is mounted in an acrylic plexiglass box with mirrored backing measuring 5 1/4" by 5 1/4" by 2 3/8". In very good vintage condition.

With raised tubeline decoration and moss coloured highlight glaze to three sides, and blue glaze to the back. We have two of these vases as illustrated. This listing is for one vase but the second vase is available to buy separately in or other listings. The one you see here is on the left hand side in the photo of the pair. Carn is the only surviving pottery out of the iconic 1960’s and 1970’s Trio of Cornish potteries – Carn, Tremaen and Tremar. The Pottery was established in an old chapel by John Beusmans in 1971 in the village of Nancledra near St. Ives in Cornwall. John studied at Redruth Art College with his parents encouragement.
