About the Item

Opaline and cane Pitcher, designed in 1957 by Danish designer Jacob Eiler Bang for Kastrup Glasværk Denmark. The pitcher is part of a series of opaline glass utensils object series that was in production until 1965. Jacob E. Bang designed numerous important glass designs for both Holmegaard as Kastrup and is known for his softer and more human focussed designs. He created some of the most beautiful and timeless glass pieces of the 20th century. Jacob E. Bang was the brother of the renown ceramist Arne Bang.
