French 19th Century Louis XV St. Silvered Bronze Centerpiece
About the Item
A superb and finely chased French 19th century Louis XV st. silvered bronze centerpiece. The centerpiece is raised on scrolled square feet adorned with acanthus leaves. Above is the plateau with beaded border and a front central Rocaille acanthus leaf mount. Above the plateau is a fanciful boat decorated with floral garlands and a pierced railing with foliate movements. At the back of the boat is a charming winged cherub riding the wake. In front of the vessel is an elegant and impressively detailed swan. Wonderful expressions and details throughout.
