About the Item
This is a beautiful hand made and hand painted Vase by renowned designer Anita Harris of Stoke on Trent, England, dating to circa 2010.
The vase is very well potted in a cylindrical form.
The vase is richly hand decorated with lustrous (flambe) glazes in colours of red, orange, blue grey and black with an overglazed geometric design in gold gilt, similar to that of the tube lining seen on Moorcroft pottery wares..
The piece is fully marked to the base with the printed mark of her studio pottery then hand signed by her in gold. There is also a series or pattern mark 1211W.
Overall a very beautiful vase.
About Anita Harris.
Anita Harris is a British pottery artist who is based in Longton, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. Her brand, Anita Harris Pottery, is a working studio in the heart of the northern English city of Stoke-on-Trent.
In 1992, she was senior designer and decorator at Poole Pottery, where for a decade, she created ranges for Liberty and others. In 2002, Harris joined Moorcroft’s Cobridge Stoneware pottery, working with vibrant and colourful reactive glazes.
Anita Harris Art Pottery was established in 2006 and is now a world-renowned, award-winning studio.
