Art Deco Ceramic Book Ends Featuring Lion and Nude Female Figure

About the Item

This lovely pair of bookmarks, depicting a nude female figure petting the head of a lion, is rendered in a style suggestive of a Classical Greek tableau. It has been realized in white glazed ceramic which features a very subtle craquelure finish. These pieces are both functional and stunning, a must have for any lover of Greek classicism or Art Deco design. Excellent condition. French, circa 1930 Measures: 3" D x 7.5" W x 5" H.
