Early 19th century Toby jug, faience, French. Marked in blue underglaze "BP". He is presented as a jolly fellow taking a pinch of snuff from his personal snuff box. Blue, green & floral polychrome decoration. Sponge decorated base. Good condition with the usual flakes of early faience on tricorn hat rim & base.
10.25" h., 7.5" over handle, 4.5" w.
