Goldscheider Art Déco Figure 'Fascination', Dancer with Headdress by W. Thomasch

Impressive Goldscheider Vienna Ceramic Figurine of the 1920s: The young lady with artfully pinned hair wears only transparent stockings and high heels, as well as a headdress densely decorated with blue-yellow shaded feathers, a blue cloth reaching to the ground, beige on the inside, covers the well-formed body on her back, slightly backwards bent forward, she brings the back of her left hand to her chin and looks down with almost closed eyes. The figure is based on a beige, stepped round base with lateral faceting, artist's signature 'Thomasch' and model number on the back of the base. Designed by WILHELN THOMASCH (1893 - 1964), who was an academic sculptor and ceramic artist, operations manager at Goldscheider Vienna, from 1926 had his own production in Sierndorf. Thomasch designed this model circa 1922.
