Nanni Valentini Centerpiece for Ceramica Arcore, Italy 1960s
About the Item
Ceramic centerpiece by Nanni Valentini (1932 -1985) for Ceramica Arcore. Beautiful expressionistic, typical Valentini, decoration on the inner side of the bowl showing different glazes and textured surfaces. The shape of the bowl evokes a sense of calmness, the edge is finished inwards as opposed to the simpler traditional way where it protrudes outwards, this choice supports the powerful minimalist feel. The work really emphasizes the style of Valentini which has similarities with the work of Japanese masters. The bowl is signed on the bottom: C A. In excellent original condition.
