Peter Shire Splatter Mug
About the Item
One-of-a-kind Splatter Mugs designed by Peter Shire. These functional and sculptural mugs are crafted by Echo Park Pottery in Los Angeles using slab construction and individually hand-painted. Stamped on base: EXP 2023. Sold individually.
Since the 1970s, Shire has been working at the intersection of craft, fine art, and industrial design. He is perhaps best known for his work with the Memphis Group, where he designed products alongside Ettore Sottsass, Nathalie Du Pasquier and Shiro Kuramata.
Please note: Each mug is unique with different color combinations. Some have rounded handles and some are pointed. Your mug will be selected at random. If you purchase multiples - we will aim to choose complimentary pieces.
