This is a vintage ginger jar. An English, ceramic decorative spice urn, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1930. Appealing example of the Mandalay pattern, with good proportion Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order Quality white ceramic beneath a lightly glazed top coat Traditional urn form with tactile domed lid Accentuated with deep cobalt blue, gilt finish and colourful foliate pattern Maker's mark to base for the Mason's Mandalay pattern This is a fascinating vintage ginger jar, with great colour and a distinctive appearance.
