This decanter is really well proportioned and elegant, with the mallet taper shape, which first appeared in the George 111rd period from circa 1765. It has three spaced flat cut neck rings, which give a very good grip when pouring. The body has vertical fluting around the shoulder and a herringbone fringe of finer cuts around the base. This decanter has its original lozenge cut stopper and is a very good fit to the decanter. The decanter is made from Lead glass with a soft grey color.
