Pair of 18th Century Hand Painted Multi-Color Porcelain Decorative Dinner Plates

About the Item

These two beautiful and antique hand painted multi-colored porcelain dishes date back to 1700. Each plate has shaped rims with molded and trimmed relief, the white porcelain background is decorated with flowers and leaves throughout. A bouquet of flowers decorates the central part of the plate with blue, red-orange, yellow and green as dominant colors. The floral decoration and foliate motifs are repeated on the edges. A four-leaf clover in pure gold enriches the composition both in the center and on the edges. The dishes were part of the private collection of a Roman knight commander who made the inventory of his pottery’s set putting a label behind one of this plate with the inscription of the century(XVIII) and the name of the design’s model called "Ancient Milan". The plates are marked with an unreadable green sign probably representing the two crossed swords typical of Meissen manufacture. These collectibles are extremely decorative, put them on display in your cabinet or cupboard, use them as centerpieces or to decorate a wall, very refined and attractive objects. The condition is amazing for being almost 300 years old! They can be sold individually.
