Exceptional French Art Nouveau Marbled Emile Galle Cameo Glass Vase -Fircones

About the Item

An exceptional two handled Emile Galle cameo fircone moon vase in orange over a blue marbled layer, Depicting fircones and needle of a fir tree. Marbled layered Galle cameos are little known and exceptionally rare particularly this early in production -they are slightly more common in the early 1920s. (Signed Provost Mark II -the 'star' signature which was only used from 1905 - 1908 the period immediately after the death of Emile -see signature chart in last picture) signed in cameo (see pictures 3 and 7). Emile Galle was probably the greatest glass maker of all time and one of the founding father's of the Art Nouveau movement.
