Signed Italian Carlo Moretti Murano Glass Bowl

About the Item

A unique and desirable glass bowl by Carlo Moretti. The piece is oblong and a wonderful addition to many settings, as a fruit bowl, center piece or purely as decorative art. Italian Murano glass and stunning. Since the founding of Carlo Moretti by the Moretti family in 1959, the Carlo Moretti Murano Crystal objects have been created with innovation and continuous research. Moretti pieces are included in the permanent collections of the London Victoria and Albert Museum, the New York Cooper-Hewitt Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, the Berlin Staatliche Museen Preussischer Kulturbesitz Kunstgewerbemuseum, and the Geneva Musée Ariana. Every piece is signed by hand with a diamond tipped stylus. The production of limited edition objects, all mouth-blown and hand finished, supplied with a warranty certificate indicating the series number, date and production technique, have all contributed to establish a name and a brand synonymous of quality. Carlo Moretti production has won awards that include the Internationalen Handwerksmesse-Munchen Gold Medal, Internationale Kunsthandwerk-Stuttgart Prize (1966), Macef Prize (1976), Arango International Design Competition Glass that Works - Miami, FL USA (1984).
