Striking Mid-Century Modern 'Kf486' Goblet by Finnish Designer Kaj Franck

About the Item

A striking art glass goblet by Kaj Franck (1911-1989), who is widely recognized as one of the leading figures in the Finish Design Movement during the years 1940 until the 1980's, and in 1952 he was appointed as Design Director for Finlands Nuutajärvi Notsjö glassworks. The goblet's design consists of a mottled amber columnar stem rising up from a violet circular foot to a blue cylindrical body, the lip retains it's original foil label, the underside showing a ground pontil mark and etched artist signature, 'Kaj Franck Nuutajärvi Notsjö' Retaining the original fitted & labeled display box, minus the top.
