18th century Glass and Pewter Claret Jug, circa 1780 Additional Information: Material: Glass, Pewter Date: c.1780 Origin: Probably Bohemia or Germany Colour: Clear Stopper: Pewter cover with ball finial Neck: Band of lens cutting to the base - applied handle with scroll finish Body: Cut floral pattern with border of lens cuts Base: Snapped pontil Glass Type: Lead free Size: H 34.5 cm Condition: The interior of the jug has some limescale bloom and the strap attachment to the handle has some play - no chips or cracks Restoration: None.
