20th Century Italian Modern Solid Silver Jug Pitcher

About the Item

Modern style solid silver pitcher. The shape of the jug is oval and has been completely handmade from an 800 silver plate. The body of the object is lightly hammered. The handle is oval and completely smooth. The elongated upward shape makes it particularly slender and very convenient for pouring the liquid you want to serve. The base, also oval, has been welded in the lower part to give stability to the object. This modern style is suitable both for a house with minimalist furniture and in a baroque or empire style home, to lighten the visual impact and to stand out particularly from the dominant style. Italian silverware, already with a centuries-old tradition, had a great development in the twentieth century and produced pieces of the highest quality that the whole world envies us. Italian craftsmanship had a kind of new Renaissance after the war. Thus was born a large number of high quality silverware where exceptional pieces are produced that today decorate the most prestigious houses.
