About the Item

Desimone, hand painted ceramic pitcher, Italian Pottery, circa 1960 - Era Aldo Londi Very nice pitcher representing a laughting man with an traditional italian wine botle in is hand. This is a very colorful piece as usual in Giovanni DeSimone's work. The bright golden yellow contrasts with the red of the garment pattern, all soothed by a delicate green on the bottom. The large eyes of the character are reminiscent of Roman mosaics of ancient frescoes. This piece is handmade by the ceramist and signed under the base. It is typical of the author's hand painted pottery style. It is in very good condition. Please, look at the pictures, they complete the written description.
