Victorian silver wine jug with yacht racing scene
About the Item
This wonderful Victorian wine ewer is elaborately hand-chased with scroll-framed floral detail on either side of the body and a beautifully detailed sailing scene of two racing yachts. This antique silver jug has a melon style lobed foot, a cast scroll handle and the hinged lid is surmounted by a removable cast finial of a flower.
It can be used as a water pitcher or for wine - it will hold a full bottle.
