Edith Varian Cockcroft Art Deco Ceramic Charger Plate with Exotic Dancer

About the Item

American Art Deco glazed ceramic charger plate in Persian blue and gold, made by Edith Varian Cockcroft (American 1881-1962). The piece presents a hand-painted and gilt center with a pair of blue trees and an exotic female dancer holding cymbals. Made in the United States during the 1930's, the piece has a 'Cockcroft' signature on the back and is in remarkable antique condition with age-appropriate wear and use.
